How to replace a CV boot. This is a video showing the replacement of a cv boot on a 2001 Buick Lesabre Axle. I forgot to mention in this vid that there are other kinds of boots you can buy, some are split boots, which are split down the middle and glued together while the axle is still in the car. There are also boots which are made to stretch over the end of the axle so you don’t have to remove the axle from the car.

fill joint with 30 grams of approved grease and the boot gets another 30 in the big end
this should be done everytime an axle is removed to replace a torn cv boot, chances are that has contaminated the joint with dirt
